I am also attuned as a Level II Reiki practitioner.
The body is a complex organism with many inter-related systems, and healing is often required on multiple levels. My philosophy is to treat not only the symptoms of the pain and dysfunction, but to also go deeper, when necessary, to find and address the root cause of the problem. I do this through a combination of deep tissue, light touch and subtle energy techniques.
My own 'A-Ha' moment came many years ago when I was being treated--unsuccessfully--for a hamstring injury. The person I was working with was treating only the muscle, and it would heal briefly only to re-injure itself again and again. I finally found someone who thought to look past the symptom and in so doing they found an issue in the hip joint that was putting excess strain on the muscle. One simple adjustment to the hip fixed both problems for good. Since then I have striven to look as deeply as possible to find underlying causes to problems, both with my clients and my own life.
In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my wife and two children, practicing tai chi and yoga, and occasionally playing lacrosse. I also volunteer my time doing Reiki for Denver Hospice.
